TREASURE HUNTING RULES

The rules for Million Dollar Treasure Hunts are as follows. Any deviation from these rules will result in your disqualification from the treasure hunt.

  • Million Dollar Treasure Hunts Maps, as well as the clues and riddles leading to the hidden treasures, are the sole registered trademarked property of Million Dollar Treasure Hunts LLC. Any duplication, replication, or distribution of these materials is strictly prohibited by law. Any of the above actions will result in your disqualification from the treasure hunt and you may be subject to legal action that could result in a $250,000 fine and/or imprisonment.

  • Treasure hunters are prohibited from making copies of the treasure maps, clues, riddles, puzzles, or hints and distributing these contents. Each map has its own unique serial number. That number belongs to the person who has registered to play at milliondollartreasurehunts.com. Anyone who has not registered will not be eligible to play. In the event of an unregistered player discovering the million-dollar treasure, they will be denied the right to claim the treasure. It is free to join the treasure hunt, so there is no reason not to sign up for the treasure hunt.

  • It is prohibited to register for the Million Dollar Treasure Hunt’s Maps, clues, riddles puzzles or hints for the purpose of reselling them to the public. If you do so, you will be disqualified from the treasure hunt and may be subject to legal action that could result in a $250,000 fine and/or imprisonment. Again, it’s free to join the treasure hunt and unregistered players will be denied the right to any claim on any treasure they might find.

  • You must be 16 years of age or older to participate in the Million Dollar Treasure Hunts. If you are younger, you must participate with a parent or legal guardian who is over the age of 16 or be part of a family unit that is participating in the treasure hunt.

  • Please note, all members of a family that participates in the treasure hunt, excluding anyone of the age of 16 or under, must signup for the treasure hunt. This protects the right of all treasure hunters to an equal share to any treasure if found.

HOW IT WORKS

  • The Million Dollar Treasure Hunts Maps will not be physically mailed to you. After you register for the million-dollar treasure hunt you will receive an email with instructions on how to acquire your unique numbered map that is registered to you. You will be able to download this map digitally along with any other information you will need for the treasure hunt.

  • Along with the map, you will also be given clues, puzzles, riddles, and hints, all of which could lead to a successful treasures hunt on a weekly basis.

  • If nobody finds the treasures by a certain date, more clues will be emailed or texted to everyone. New clue will be revealed every week until all treasures are found.

  • All treasures over $1,000,000 dollars are identified and represented by a 1/12th coded part of a treasure map. There are 12 separate parts to this map to be found to make up a complete map. This applies only to the million-dollar treasure or treasures that exceed a million dollars. When the last of the 12 fragments of the map has been found for the million-dollar treasures, the treasure is considered “found.” This information will be posted on our MillionDollarTreasureHunts.com website in the treasures found pages.

  • Anyone who finds either one of the twelve fragments of the map, or one of the color-coded keys will need to call the phone number attached to either the map fragments or the color-coded keys. Upon phoning, you will be asked for your full name, your player ID, the map code, or the key code. Once this is complete, our staff will confirm your claim as one of the 12 fragments holders or as one of the key holder.

  • When all 12 fragments of the million-dollar treasure map have been found, the holders of those 12 fragments will embark on an adventure similar to “The Great Race” to determine the final winner of the treasure hunt.

  • Not all treasures require a play off. Anyone who finds a treasure of $100,000 or less can claim that treasure as theirs. However, they will still need to contact milliondollartreasurehunts.com to redeem the treasure.

  • All treasure less than $1,000,000 are represented by a special token. The token will indicate the value of the treasure found. A) Gold Tokens = $100,000 dollar treasures. B) Silver Tokens = $50,000 dollar treasures. C) Bronze Tokens = $25,000 dollar treasures. D) Nickel Tokens = $5000 treasures. E) Copper Tokens = $1000 dollar treasures.

  • There are 7 levels of treasures to be found. 1) The $1,000,000 million-dollar cash treasure. 2) The $100,000 dollar cash treasure. 3) The $50,000 dollar treasures or its equivalent. 4)The $25,000 Treasures or its equivalent.5) The $10,000 dollar treasures or its equivalent.6) The $5000 dollar treasures or its equivalent.7) The $1000 dollar treasure or its equivalent. Equivalent means the cash value of the treasure or higher. Meaning it might not be a cash treasure but might be goods and or services such as cars, vacations abroad etc., that are of equal value to the cash value of that token or higher.

  • The process for claiming any treasure is the same. You will need to contact us; give us the required information and we will then tell you how to redeem your price in exchange for the token.

  • When hunting for treasure, you will need your map, the riddles, clues, puzzles, and hints you were given for a successful outcome. You might also need a small shovel, a flashlight, a compass, and a smart phone to call us when you find a hidden treasure.

  • Twelve people will know where the 12 fragments of the map of the main treasures of $1,000,000, or more are hidden. They are not known to each other, and they only know where one of the 12 fragments of the map are hidden, the fragment they hid. Their identity will remain anonymous. This is to ensure their safety.

  • You can acquire a treasure map at any point of the treasure hunt. As long as all treasures have not been found, you are still in contention.

  • You will be able to see which treasures have been found and which are still hidden by going to the Million Dollar Treasure Hunts page. There, open treasure chests located on the map will indicate which treasures have been found and which are still waiting to be discovered.Top of FormBottom of Form

  • All treasure hunts can be done by physically looking for the treasure or can be done by armchair treasure hunters via the internet. Th opportunity to find a treasure is the same for the outdoors treasure hunter or the indoors armchair treasure hunter.
