Stories of lost treasure maps and legends of buried gold and gems are real

We are surrounded by treasure just waiting to be found. No matter what country you live in, no matter what continent you live on, there are hidden treasures waiting to be discovered, treasure that could make you rich beyond your wildest dreams.

There’s just something about a treasure hunt that fastens on a man's mind.

The Spanish Main, a treasure galleon, a pirate ship, a storm, a wreck, a fabulous treasure.

Nothing Disney could ever dream up with Pirates of the Caribbean could ever take the place of a real treasure hunt and finding real life altering treasure.

The following real-life Indiana Joneses treasure hunters have found treasure worth hundreds of millions of dollars in the form of gold, silver, emeralds, jewels, and other precious artifacts.

Enjoy their success, but don’t get jealous… we’ve got some great treasure hunts of our own planned for you… worth anything from $1000 to $1,000,000.

There’s just something about the subject of treasure hunting that continues to fascinate us to this day

E. Lee Spence, value of treasure found: $100 million

Tommy G Thompson, Value of treasure found: $150 Million

Barry Clifford, Value of treasure found: $400 million

Mel Fisher, value of treasure found: $500 million

Gregg Stemm, value of treasure found: $1.4 billion

Think about this.

Have you ever walked down a street and found a $20 dollar bill, or found some unexpected money in some old clothes that you hadn’t worn for some time?

Wasn’t that find kind of exciting, like finding a miniature treasure that was all yours, to do with as you pleased.

That’s what treasure hunting is like.

As Kids We Dreamt of Finding Hidden Treasure

The thought of stumbling across a chest filled with gold, silver, and emeralds was the stuff dreams were made off!

Movies such as Pirates of the Caribbean to Raiders of the Lost Ark, Nicolas Cage uncovering secrets in “National Treasure,” to Robert Louis Stevenson telling tales of booty in Treasure Island… captured our imagination about finding treasure.

There’s just something about treasure hunting that continues to fascinate us to this day.

They take place under the sea, in jungles, in deserts, on deserted islands, even in the attics of old houses.

Treasures are hidden all around us… all we have to do is find them… If you can!

Long before steel vaults guarded treasures, people sought to safeguard their valuables by hiding them in the ground in locations kept confidential via coded maps and complex ciphers.

Kings, queens, pirates, invading armies, were known to have large treasures.

To prevent their treasures from being looted, they were often hidden in lakes, caves, secret valleys, under the sea, under trees and everywhere in between.

Many of these ancient treasures whereabouts remain a mystery to this day.

In many cases – such as imprisonment, wars, or death – those privy to the secret were unable to recover the buried assets.

We’re talking about vast hordes of treasures worth billions in today’s money.

In the Atlantic, pirates looted Spanish treasure Galleons laden with gold, silver, and emeralds.

From Panama to Spain, the Atlantic Ocean floor is littered with treasure from storm wrecked Spanish Treasure Ships.

On the beaches of Florida, even today, metal detectorist and beachcombers still find pieces of eight, doubloons, emeralds, and other valuable items that wash ashore from these storm wrecked ships from centuries ago.

You never know where or when you might make an accidental discovery and find lost, hidden, or stolen treasure worth million.

In 2013, a California couple took their dog for a walk on their property in the Sierra Nevada’s something they’d done many times before. But this time they took a different route. And it’s a good thing they did. The couple made a life-changing discovery. They found several cans containing 1,411 pre 1894 gold coins worth over 10 million dollars.

In Australia an accidental discovery yielded $200,000 in buried bank notes discovered on a development site that had been buried by persons unknown 60 years earlier going by the dates on the bank notes.

In 2020, a gardener in England, dug up 63 gold coins worth millions dating from the 16th century, right in his back yard.

In another accidental discovery in England, a gardener dug up 50 gold coins worth about $100,000 dollars.

All in all, more than 47,000 non-archaeological and archaeological treasures were found in England amid an increase in backyard gardening during the coronavirus lockdowns of 2020.

And here’s the interesting part. One hundred percent of the more than 47,000 treasures found were accidental discoveries, meaning that none of those treasures were known to exist prior to their discovery by anyone and lay waiting to be discovered, often for hundreds of years.

There were no maps, no riddles, no hints, no clues to guide people or to indicate that treasure was even hiding there.

In another accidental discovery in England, a gardener dug up 50 gold coins worth about $100,000 dollars.

OUR TREASURE HUNTS ARE BETTER

They do come with treasure maps, clues, and decoders.

The treasures are easier to find, usually within twelve months or sooner from the start of the hunt.

They are meant to be solved by regular people who can do so from home.

You don’t have to fly off to other countries or go deep underground or spend millions of dollars to find hidden treasure. You don’t even have to leave your hometown.

Are fun for the whole family.

Have a great story line to add to the adventure and excitement of a real treasure hunt.
